Migrating to a (new) learning platform: Taking the first steps in your successful journey

No matter how you arrived at this article and what you were looking for, migration symbolises new beginnings. I am one to know, having migrated to a brand new country earlier this year. Change is difficult to grapple with at first, but with change comes growth.

What does this have to do with a learning platform? When it comes down to it, migration to a learning platform is, for a large part, a messy and manual process. Based on our experience, there aren’t many shortcuts to getting to where you want to be.

Learning events we attended in 2022

2022 marked the year in which live, face-to-face events came back. Some of the early events were postponed to May and will stay there in 2023 (and beyond?) so keep your eyes peeled. May will likely be the live-event-stuffed month of the year.

But before you start thinking about all the events you can visit again soon, let’s take a look at where we went to last year.

Ger’s Learning Notes #51: ChatGPT

I hope the year 2023 started well for you. It did for me, being re-energized after a two weeks off during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. I didn’t work during those two weeks, but I kept an eye on the social channels that I use most: Twitter and Linkedin. If you totally shut off for the holidays and are now wondering if you missed something: everything was about the new Artificial Intelligence powered chatbot ChatGPT (GPT stands for Generative Pre-trainded Transformer). You might be up to speed with that already and if not, I will tell you more about it in this edition of the Learning Notes.

A glance back at our favourite moments of 2022

The year 2022 was eventful to say the least and we don’t just mean this from aNewSpring’s perspective. But the latter is what we’ll be reflecting on this time around.

Why not start off the year with all of you joining me for a glance back at 2022? The theme of ‘Reflections’ shall span over the next few editions and in this particular post, I’ll be focusing on three initiatives – the annual aNewSpring Awards, the launch of aNewLetter along with 2022’s top read articles and Ger’s Learning Notes turning 50.

I’d like to share some of the insights I’ve learnt and perhaps also give you a glimpse of what’s being worked on in our secret garage.
