Featured Feature: Turning content on and off

Imagine this: you’ve just published a new template, launched your course, enrolled your learners and… suddenly realise you left out a crucial piece of content from one of the activities! Or worse — you added it to the wrong one.

No stress! You don’t need to depublish the entire template to fix it. In this Featured Feature video, our Support Hero Markus shows you exactly how to make those changes with ease!

Hi there.

My name is Markus, and I'm one of the Support Heroes here at aNewSpring.

In today's Featured Feature video, I want to show you how to turn content on and off in your activities.

Stop me if you've heard this one before: you've just published your template or an activity, and you noticed that you forgot to add some content to it.

Well, fortunately, in most activities, you can still add content to them even if the content is published.

I'll show you how.

First, go to your activity and click the 'Select' button at the top.

Select your piece of content, click 'OK', and click 'Update' to save your changes.

Confirm that these changes will affect learners in the course, and click 'OK'.

Tada! Your content has been added.

You can also hide content in an activity by selecting the content and clicking the 'Hide' button at the top.

Click 'Update' to save your changes and, again, confirm that these changes will affect learners who are already in the course.

Your content is now hidden in the activity.

If you ever want to see the content that's currently hidden in your activity, you can click the 'Show hidden content in table' toggle on the top right.

This will show you the content but will keep it hidden to your learners.
