Every eight to ten weeks we launch a new version of the aNewSpring platform with new features; these can be additions or improvements to the learning platform. Because I know that not everyone receives the Release Notes, or does receive them but doesn’t read them (shame on you!), I’ll use the year-end to look back at how we tried to make it easier for you as a trainer or training provider.
Below, you'll find a summary of all of our updates in 2019.

We've added a large number of quick wins based on customer wishes that have improved the useability of the backend. Some highlights, below:

This was one of the most impactful releases in years: the launch of "aNewSpring for Trainers". In short, we call it "the trainer version". In the past, we were regularly approached by trainers who wanted to get started with aNewSpring. However, trainers don’t need extensive back-end features, such as multiple user roles, customisable reports and subenvironments.
That’s why we have developed a simplified version of aNewSpring; the same didactical features and learning journey but without unneccessairy backend features. Are you curious about the exact differences between aNewSpring for Trainers and Organisations? Then, click here.
The complete update on the release can be found here.
Are you already using the (custom) app? More and more learners use their phones to look up information quickly and that's why the search function has been added to the app. Also, we have expanded this function in the platform, making it easier for learners to find information.
In addition, we have added two new conditions, allowing you to offer your participants an even more personal learning experience.
Wondering which conditions? Click here.
In this release, we have added a few new features that were high on the wish lists of many customers, like getting a better overview of your templates and versions. So, you can now add 'tags'; making it possible to filter on dates, versions, types, archive, languages, etc. We also have developed a feature especially for the learners’ ease of learning: they can make their own notes during their training sessions via the note functionality.
This release was accompanied by nine quick wins: among other things, the advice after the completion of an activity was clarified. You can find the other eight here.
If you want to develop a training in aNewSpring, you will build a learning journey with a visible (learning) line from top to bottom. However, such a line is not always useful or applicable, for example if you want to work with a knowledge base, a community or performance support. That’s why you can choose ‘alternative styling’ at the template settings. The instructions for making an alternative journey can be found here.
In addition to tags at template and course level (previous release), you can now also add tags to content libraries, making it even easier to structure your content. This last feature is only available in aNewSpring for Organisations.
You can read an update about the full release here.
On the last day of this year, we made it possible for your participants to fill in a form and to be in control over adjusting, checking and sharing it. This activity is ideal as a replacement for the ‘former’ form. Use it for writing a plan of action together with your supervisor, for example, or as an evaluation form in which multiple choice questions can be used to give scores. In addition, two-factor-authentication is now also possible, allowing users to log in to aNewSpring more securely.
