‘‘A fool with a tool is still a fool.” These are the wise words that I learned from my colleague Brant… He’s so right, in the sense that a great tool can rarely compensate a professional who lacks some crucial knowledge or skills. But let’s approach it in a more positive way. What happens when a real pro uses great tools?
You know the answer because readers of Ger’s Learning Notes are all great learning pros! A pro with a ‘cool tool’ will be a PRO. The first resource in this episode of the Learning Notes is called ‘Retooling Instructional Design’. It’s written by Connie Malamed a.k.a. ‘The eLearningcoach’. Some good news: Connie will deliver a masterclass on Monday, February 17th, 2020 in Rotterdam on applying design thinking for learning design. Hope to meet you there!
You’ll also find great posts on the use of storyboards and how you can remove ‘nice to know’-stuff from your design so you can prepare for a clean 2020. Which reminds me to look back at 2019 as ‘the year of the podcast’. The popularity of podcasts has reached sky-high levels.
So, I’m happy that I can share the ‘Ultimate L&D Podcast Guide’ with you. You might want to listen to some during your holidays.
And this leaves me wishing you: Happy Holidays, see you in 2020! *< ]:{o (ho,ho,ho)
P.S. We’ve put some ‘learning’ gifts under the aNewSpring Christmas tree for you, too.
