Blockchain? No really, blockchain? Yes, blockchain! Why? Let me tell you. When I started my career in learning and development, the Internet was just entering the workplace. I was proud to have my own personal computer (PC) at work – not everybody did. At first, we didn’t have an Internet connection, so also no e-mail! And then, ‘suddenly’, the Internet was there in every aspect of our professional and private lives.
Today, many experts believe that the introduction of blockchain will have an impact comparable to the introduction of the Internet. What if they are only 50% right?
The impact of the Internet on learning is massive if you know what changed over the last 30 years. So how will blockchain change learning? I don’t know, but this time I want to be in a front-row seat to see what happens and try to understand. That’s why I’d like to share some blockchain resources related to learning. I studied hard and had the opportunity to do some presentations at conferences like the ATD International Conference in Washington last May and the Learning Technologies Summer Forum in London last July. The reactions motivated me to move forward with this theme. If you can help me by sharing interesting resources you come across, please do so!
