Webinar:
Cracking the Compliance Training Code

10 March 2020 – Online
1pm – 2pm (GMT)
14:00 – 15:00 (CET)

Not many people seem to like compliance training. Not people at work, not many learning professionals, maybe some training providers. But we all want the people and organisations who serve us to be compliant. So how can you learn how to handle this compliance training paradox and find professional ways to make the best of it?

In this webinar we will explore what to do – and not to do – to be sure that compliance training is effective, relevant and makes sense. You will learn how to first peel the compliance training onion to get to the core of what needs your attention. We’ll introduce a model to help you understand the regulation of behavior and how technology can play an important role for effectiveness and efficiency.

Want to get a jump on learning?

Here are some interesting blogs from Ger to get you started.

Ger’s Learning Notes #31 – Blockchain

Blockchain? No, really, blockchain? Yes, blockchain! Why? Let me tell you. When I started my career in learning and development, the Internet was just entering the workplace. I was proud to have my own personal computer (PC) at work – not everybody did. At first, we didn’t have an Internet connection, so also no e-mail! And then, ‘suddenly’, the Internet was there in every aspect of our professional and private lives.

Ger’s Learning Notes #30 – Social Learning

In this episode of the Learning Notes, you’ll find some of the best resources from experts explaining how to make the best use of social learning. Please use them as conversation starters. Comment, ask, debate and challenge what you read, and more importantly, share! We need all of you to create the best social learning around social learning.

Ger’s Learning Notes #29 – ATD19 edition

Did you ever see 13,000+ L&D professionals in one place? It is possible and happens at the ATD International Conference and Exhibition. This year, the conference took place from May 19 to 22 in Washington DC. It was my sixth ATD conference in the US, and it’s always a unique and kind of overwhelming experience.

The benefits of blended learning

With all the learning interventions and approaches that exist today, the real ‘art’ is to create ‘the right blend’ of interventions that leads to the best results. Often, some type of e-learning is part of the blend, but not necessarily.

Ger’s Learning Notes #28 – Compliance Training

I recently discovered a very exciting topic related to learning: compliance training! You might think I’m kidding but, in fact, it is the truth.

Start with who?

Are you a fan of Simon Sinek and ‘Start with Why’? And his ‘Golden Circle’? Yes? Me too! But not always. Only when it comes to themes about marketing or leadership, not those that deal with learning design. Then, I think, you can start begin with ‘who’. Turn the spotlight on the professional for whom you are designing a learning journey.
