Make aNewSpring into a company that uses (financial) data to continuously improve their value creation, to grow and create more economies of scale to be able to innovate more in helping people learn.

We want you to be able to confidently say:
“Our numbers reflect our business and drive our continuous improvement”

Experienced Business Controller

At aNewSpring we are looking for a board level sparring partner. Someone who gladly handles the financial part of our business but who can also provide a fresh look at our procedures, from a numbers-point-of-view.

Our new Business Controller does not only work on the numbers, but mainly works with them. You see the numbers our bookkeeping assistant has processed and the reports of our accountants and use those figures to give advice on improving our business model and processes.

  • You see customer usage and our price model and you find room for improvement there as well.
  • You see the percentage of qualified leads that evolve into clients and wonder whether we are missing chances there.
  • You’re eager to exchange thoughts with all team leads.
  • Basically, it is your second nature to be looking for opportunities in profit, quality, customer satisfaction and to see where we can lower our risks.

Your concern:

You might be sceptic about starting a new job in these uncertain corona times. Lucky for aNewSpring, most of us already had some standard home working days and we were well adjusted to online meetings and working together at a distance.

This is of great help to us now during this home working period.

We already had an online ‘Preboarding Learning Journey’ in place for some time, to familiarize new colleagues with our culture and working methods even before the first working day. Plus a solid onboarding programme in Trello with which is the life line for New Hires during their training period.

All of this was real nice to have in previous years, and is now indispensable.

Pascalle started working for us in the Marketing team at the end of March, so she was trained “remotely”. She writes about this: “Despite the fact that I have settled in at home, I have not had the feeling that I was on my own. My colleagues have made me feel very welcome and with daily contact moments I was constantly kept in the loop. Everything was very well organized and I was up and running in no time.

What we offer:

  • A challenging job in a growing company with lots of responsibility and autonomy
  • Smart, helpful, friendly and often funny colleagues
  • A delicious daily lunch – when we work at the office that is
  • An inspiration office with a 360 view of Rotterdam (10th floor)
  • Flexibility to work from home, even in non-corona times
  • Salary according to the Baarda Model in the Professional line (€ 3.900 – € 6.500)
  • Three subsequent fixed-term contracts, leading to a permanent employment contract
  • A DIY pension provision with professional advice
  • 25 holidays per year for a full time employment
