Diagnostic test

A diagnostic test is the one-time measurement of current knowledge level. It is possible to generate an assessment or advice based on the results of a test. Advice can entail offering a follow-up course.

Introduction test

The goal of an introduction test is to determine the level of the group or to bring student groups to the same knowledge level.

(Free) knowledge test

Knowledge test are a tool to have students test the necessity of follow-up courses. It can also be used for marketing your courses.

Summative testing

These are tests that are used to make decisions about students. It is essential to be aware of the consequences the test results entail for training progress, learning development and the students’ career.

Formative testing

These tests are used to provide students with insight into their strengths and weaknesses so the study can be continued in a more effective way.

(Final) Exam

These are one-time tests of the desired knowledge level. Based on exam conditions and a test template, tests can be easily composed.

Continuous assessment

In addition to the usual snap-shots (For example, a final exam) it is also possible to implement a continuous assessment where the knowledge level of the student is watched continuously based on periodic, smaller tests.
