aNewSpring in Rotterdam is looking for a creative salesperson with hunting skills. You have a global view on scalable software and you like to always get the best out of internet services. You will independently search for new training providers and you will brainstorm with them how they can launch new products. You will work together with a tight team and you will help to build an international organisation with a specific target group. We prefer someone who has experience with training providers or someone how knows this segment well.
What you will be doing:
- Develop a strategic plan to attract new clients;
- Focus on the training providers in The Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States;
- Expand our international network of clients through intensive acquisition and marketing activities;
- Host webinars and demonstrations for future clients;
- Introduce our platform through cold calling, social media and other tools;
- Visit and participate at international conferences and event.
About you:
- You are a hunter;
- You are focused on solutions;
- You are proactive, critical, inquisitive and structured;
- You are motivated to individually generate new business with prospects
- You are commercial and entrepreneurial minded;
- You are a team player, energetic, ambitious and flexible;
- You have good mathematical skills;
- You are fluent in English and Dutch;
- You have excellent presentation and communication skills;
- You have 3 - 10 years experience in a sales function;
- You are familiar with the training provider scene;
- You are accustomed to working in a team and you are flexible to fulfil multiple roles;
- You are available for 24 - 40 hours p / w depending on your availability.

The position is for 3 to 5 days per week. We find it especially important that you deliver results. What day and what time you work, you may decide for yourself, as long as you discuss this well with your colleagues.

Java web developer

aNewSpring in Rotterdam is looking for a Java web developer. You will work in a small team that develops iteratively. You will work within the whole development process from design to implementation and testing. We offer you an independent position with great responsibility and freedom to deal with things your own way. Your contribution is important in our company and together with your colleagues you will help aNewSpring to constantly improve.
What you will be doing:
- Contributing to the further development of our web application
- Functional and technical design
- Thinking with us to develop new functionalities
- Bug fixing
- Working on custom projects for clients
About you:
- You get satisfaction from building great solutions for our customers
- You have at least a university bachelor degree
- You have more than 3 years of experience building Java (web) applications (J2EE)
- You have experience with (D) HTML, XML, CSS and Javascript
- You have knowledge of Linux, MySQL and Apache Tomcat
- Preferably, you have knowledge of Ant
- You are a team player
- You are analytical, results-oriented, willing to learn and you show initiative
- You don’t have a 9 to 5 mentality
- You are available for 16-40 hours p / w depending on your availability

Web designer / front-end engineer

aNewSpring in Rotterdam is looking for a web designer / front-end engineer. You will work within a small team that develops iteratively. You will cooperate with interaction designers and back-end Java programmers. We offer you an independent function with great responsibility and freedom to deal with things your own way. Your contribution is important to our company and together with your colleagues you will help aNewSpring to constantly improve.
What you will be doing:
- Contributing to making our web application more user friendly and live up to expectations of today's users.
- Designing intuitive and user friendly interactions
- Designing and guard the overall graphic style of the platform
- Translating the designs into HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Creating interactive elements using Javascript toolkits like Dojo.
- Design custom graphic styles per customer (skins)
- Using your CSS knowledge to implement custom look & feels (skins) for our customers.
About you:
- You have at least two years working experience as a designer / front-end developer, or demonstrable medior level
- You have strong graphical capabilities and you are able to create graphically appealing designs along with the interaction designer, to create the ultimate user experience
- You have the drive and vision to bring our front-end to the next level
- You are keeping up with the latest trends in the area of web design and development
- You write clean and structured HTML, CSS and JavaScript and you are an expert in these techniques;
- You are proactive, critical, inquisitive and structured
- You are accustomed to working in a team and you are flexible to fulfill multiple roles
- You know all the ins and outs of Javascript and you're familiar with frameworks such as Dojo Toolkit
- You see it as a challenge to design and implement such reusable widgets
- You have experience or you are interested in the gray area between back end and front end development (JSP, Free Marker, XSLT, XML)
- You are well aware of the latest browsers (versions) and the perils and you know how to avoid hacks. "Graceful degradation" is your nickname
- You get satisfaction out of designing and building great solutions for our customers
- You are available for 16-40 hours p / w depending on your availability
