“Scratch your own itch”
Both founders had this drive independently when starting the company. René Persoon, who had a training agency, was searching far and wide for a way to make sure his students would not forget what they had learned. He started aNewSpring to support his own training. Martèn de Prez, an economics student from Rotterdam struggled to memorise his study materials because of his dyslexic learning challenge.
He and his room mate Walter Brand, who had to overcome the same challenge, dreamed of the possibilities internet technology could offer people like themselves. René and Martèn joined efforts in further developing a solution for retention training: MemoTrainer.
Back in 2004 especially corporate training companies were looking for ways to make learning more efficient and effective. The MemoTrainer was greatly appreciated by learners from a broad range of backgrounds. From constructors to project managers and financial professionals got higher grades because of the personalised exam trainings.

Innovating together with our clients made the aNewSpring software as a service evolve into the all-in-one platform we are now. aNewSpring now has a broad range of functionality from simple testing to advanced adaptive and social learning configuration including retention training.

Based on our customer feedback and expansion into the rest of Europe, the United States and India we expect aNewSpring to grow even further.
